Getting mirena out weight loss
I had the Mirena IUD for a little over a year. This subreddit is intended to serve as both an educational resource, as well as a safe place to share and listen. This was also the time my husband came home from deployment and I started eating carbs again and stopped working out. I had my mirena in for 8 months wen I realized I was almost at heavy at the day I gave birth. I have had the mirena for 13 months now and I cannot believe how much weight I have put on. I will be more than happy to get this thing out. Anyways, my question for you ladies is, for those of you who experienced weight gain with the Mirena and had it removed, did you lose any weight after removal. My obgyn thinks it will correct itself after it comes out. but wrote it off. When I was reading all of the posts I felt as if I Had already posted to this topic. ive gained a ton back. I have felt like I may be losing some lbs. I had never had a problem losing weight before and my post-partum weight was coming off quickly UNTIL I had Mirena inserted. I never had a weight issue until this thing. But I hit my five-year mark in May and am looking for alternative in the next couple of months. My mood, omg I am so nasty to everyone during period time. And no matter how hard I tried I just COULDNT loose weight. I thought i was going completely out of my mind.
I have NEVER wieghed this much unless i had a baby in me. I KNOW my weight gain was from the Mirena. I have had the mirena for almost 2 yrs and I have gained 30 lbs sine having it inserted. But in that 10 months or so, I went from a sedentary lifestyle to walking a lot after moving, to moving again and walking a lot less. Do not suggest a person adopt or have an abortion. You may find the answers to your questions, but if not, feel free to ask. then I tried on some jeans that did not fit pre-removal and slipped them on,with room to spare. I continued on normally and have been eating normally. See, I had gastric bypass a few months before getting my IUD and continued to lose weight for about 10 months. I am curious to hear from some ppl who have also gained weight from it and had it removed. Fertility or Infertility is a very sensitive and personal matter. I am active and eat well but counting calories was the only way I could take weight off and I never kept it off. I took it out and within a month of doing nothing different I lost 15 pounds. I have heard that it hurts to get taken out but it has to go. Explain there are options available whatever the situation may be. I am a fitness instructor so working out has never been an issue for me. So I know what it takes to get the lbs off. , but no stories on weight loss AFTER removal.
